Who can be a Body Psychotherapist?

EABP members are well-trained and qualified professionals, active in health centres, special clinics and in private practice.

Body Psychotherapists normally have a university degree in one of the social sciences or an equivalent background, before starting a 3-4-year study of Body Psychotherapy / Somatic Psychology.

During and after their training they establish their work with clients and undergo clinical supervision.

When becoming a member of the EABP, Body Psychotherapists agree to abide by the EABP Ethical principles and commit to continuing professional development (CPD) in order to keep themselves up-to-date with the profession.

Members work in various settings – private practice, clinical settings, training institutes and areas of trauma.
