How to Join EABP
If you live in a country where there is a National Association of EABP you must apply directly through the National Association. Please consult their website.
There are National Associations in Austria, Germany, Greece, Israel, Italy, Russia, Serbia, Spain, Switzerland, The Netherlands and the United Kingdom. You can become a member of your National Association and at the same time become a member of EABP. You will get an application form in your native language and pay the membership fee to the National Association.
If there is no National Association in the country where you live, please apply directly to EABP online here.
Download the appropriate application form, which can be filled in electronically in the English language.
Email your application form with the scanned documents to the EABP Secretariat. The Secretariat will inform the Membership Secretary (MS). You will get a receipt of your application from both the EABP Secretariat and the MS.
The MS checks whether the membership criteria have been fulfilled and whether your documentation is complete. In case of non-fulfilment of some criteria or lack of documentation the MS will contact you and make suggestions for completion.
In cases where there is a lack of clarity, that cannot be resolved the MS may consult with others for their advice on the case.
Once the criteria are fulfilled and the documentation is complete the MS informs the Executive Board about the application with a clear recommendation.
The Executive Board decides whether to accept the application or not. Those cases where the Executive Board needs further discussion are brought to the next EABP Board meeting for them to make a decision or to suggest further procedures.
If any member of the Executive Board is not able to decide within a time frame of two weeks (because of absence, technical problems etc.) the positive decision of two members of the Executive Board and the clear recommendation of the MS are seen as sufficient to accept the application.
Once an applicant is accepted s/he will be informed by the MS.
On acceptance of membership you will be sent an invoice for the yearly membership fee. When your fee has been paid your membership becomes valid.
The MS also informs an applicant if there is a negative decision taken by the Executive Board and the reasons for this.
The applicant has the right to appeal against a negative decision to the full EABP Board. The Board’s decision is then final.
Membership Cancellation Policy
Members must cancel their membership before 31 December of the year they wish to end.
